I would have traveled to the ends of the Earth for my best friend Nina's wedding.

Conveniently, she opted for Baja California, Mexico, making it a "destination wedding" that would combine a vacation and a celebration. She and her bride, Carina, picked the small artist's colony of Todos Santos, an hour and a half north of Cabo San Lucas, for their commitment ceremony. ------

"There aren't enough words (in English or Spanish!) to fully describe
the magic of our wedding in Todos Santos. And we owe it all to the
extraordinary efforts of Alvaro, Barbara and their staff. From
creating a gourmet menu within our budget, to finding us a local salsa
band that also played the "Hava Negila," they took care of every detail
and did it with love -- leaving us free to savor a dream-like week
with our loved ones. Over a year later, we are still hearing
from friends who say it was the most beautiful wedding they've ever

As the mother of the bride, I could not have imagined a more beautiful
wedding for my daughter. Alvaro [and Barbara]--and many others behind
the scenes--amazed my husband and me with [their/his] careful planning
and attention to detail.  And the details were incredible: not only the
wedding itself, but the festive and superb meals at local restaurants,
an art gallery tour, a day of whale watching, kayaking, and surfing,
and even salsa lessons.  I marvelled that he could arrange
accommodations for all 90 guests at charming Todos Santos inns and
casitas.  It would be a pleasure to recommend without reservation
Alvaro Colindres to anyone planning a special event in Mexico.
